Araelea Ann “AJ” Johnson passed away in her home on Oct 5, 2015. Our beautiful mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend will be greatly missed. Araelea was born on June 15, 1978, the first born of Randy Johnson and Cheryl Bird Kromis. Her two sisters Ginger Powers and Audrey Wiser were her partners in sisterhood. They developed special bonds only understood by them. Her love of sports developed early in life; running, jumping, climbing, and always pushing the limits. She loved playing basketball and spent most evenings shooting hoops well after dark. She had amazing talents, including drawing, that she started doing at an early age and later went to college for graphic design. She had the voice of an angel and would bless us with songs often. She loved trying new things that gave her skills and knowledge in so many areas. She graduated from Provo High School in 1996. In 2001 she met the love of her life and soul mate Melissa (Kober) Johnson. She became a stay at home mom for their 3 children: A. Gage, J. Parker, and J. Trevon. She taught them her love of sports and they spent most of their time outdoors playing until her health wouldn't allow it anymore. As a family, they loved watching WWE and NFL football. She loved to cook and took pride in making meals for her family. She taught herself to tattoo and continued her beautiful art thru the pieces she did. She had an amazing love for animals and tried to save all she could, but her furbabies Koda and Jayda meant the world to her. She loved her family and friends and gave them everything she could. Those that knew her loved her. She touched so many lives. She was a jokester and would do anything to see a smile on your face. She is survived by her wife, Melissa; children: Gage, Parker, and Trevon; mother, Cheryl (Lloyd) Kromis; father, Randy (Christine) Johnson; sisters, Ginger (Billy) Powers and Audrey(Aaron) Wiser; brothers, Michael Johnson and Floyd (Alice) Johnson; nephew, Gavin Wiser; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she considered family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donna Ostler Bird Singleton, Weldon Bird, and Mary Jane Pino; aunt, Kathleen Martin and uncle, Tom Bird. Tattoo the sky, my angel, we are watching.
