Barbara (Leafty) Fielding Obituary (1926

Born 25 July 1926 in Falls City, Nebraska to Alta Louise Steele Leafty and Lewis Richard Leafty. She is survived by her brother Eugene Furman Leafty; her daughters Karin Woosley, Vicky Biddle and Kathryn Fielding; her son Ward Fielding; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Barbara was married to Alvie F. Fielding 28 Sept. 1943 in Aztec, NM. They spent most of their married life raising their family in Durango, CO. Once the youngest child was in school, Barbara began a career in nursing. It was truly her life's calling. She worked as an RN at Utah Valley Hospital until her retirement. Besides her love for nursing, she developed a love of music. She served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life where she shared her musical talents as organist in the Provo 11th and 5th Wards. Barbara lived in Provo Utah for more than 30 years, and moved to Reno when her health began to fail in 2006. She passed away 14 May 2010 after a brief illness. A viewing will be held at the Berg Mortuary, 185 E Center St, Provo, UT Thursday 20 May at 1:00 PM. An interment service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 S.
