Blanca Tijerina

–

Provo, Utah

Our sweet, kind, loving, and God-fearing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, leader, friend, and confidant, Blanca Tijerina, passed away unexpectedly in her home on December 23, 2022.

To say that our mother lived a life of service would be a great understatement. Despite receiving many awards, certificates, and community accolades throughout her lifetime, not one that we can remember was hung for all to see. She did not serve for that purpose. She only served out of love. Decades over decades over decades of people have been on the receiving end of that love.

As difficult as this time has been for us, we cannot deny the happiness she surely felt upon being reunited with her “honey”, her sister, her mother and father, and legions of others.

In honor of our mother, we ask that you find a way to serve someone in your community, a loved one, or even a stranger. May her legacy continue to reach as many as possible through us.

Thank you for loving her and allowing us to share her with you. The world is a better place because of you, mom. Rest now, we’ve got it from here.

Blanca is survived by her 3 children, Marta Tijerina, Armando Tijerina Jr. (Cari), and Tyson Tijerina (Olivia). Her 10 grandchildren whom she adored and loved with all her heart, Andi (Devin), Jaxon, Braydon, Collin, Miya, Bella, Gabe, Alexis, Max, and Liam; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ellie and Benny. She is also survived by the many children she cared for and loved as her own while serving at Centro de la Familia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. The family will receive friends at the mortuary Thursday, January 5, from 6-8:00 p.m. and Friday, from 9:30-10:50 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
