Casey Stephens

–

Provo, Utah

Casey Corbett Stephens, 39, of Provo, UT, passed away on October 28, 2025 after a faith-filled life of love and generosity and a long battle with stage four colon cancer. The family expresses gratitude to many kind, compassionate, and competent healthcare professionals that helped Casey.

Casey was born on December 27, 1985 to Corbett and Claudia Stephens in Provo, UT. After Casey graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2004, he served a proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Calgary, Canada. After serving the Lord as a full-time missionary, he studied computers at Utah Valley University.

Casey met his sweetheart and eternal companion, Andrea, at a young single adult ward in Spanish Fork. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogas Temple on April 11, 2015.

Casey started his professional career working at Henry Schein as a support tech and later moved to programming. He was always focused and dedicated to doing his best and finding ways to improve his workplace. Casey believed in giving things his all and encouraged others to do the same. In 2020, he was hired by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints doing quality assurance work. All of Casey’s co-workers, bosses, and managers knew that Casey would get things done and that he would do them with integrity.

Casey enjoyed spending his time taking pictures, doing puzzles, playing all types of board and card games, cooking (and eating) "good food", building and fixing computers, fixing and customizing watches, collecting and building legos, collecting Disney memorabilia, trading Disney pins, watching Disney Parks Youtube channels, serving others anonymously, teaching others about finance, and serving the individuals in his ward.

Casey lived the two great commandments faithfully. God was number one in Casey's life. He was fiercely loyal to his covenants. He exercised great faith and chose to prioritize his relationship with his Heavenly Father and his Savior over every other thing. He chose to let God prevail in his life, especially in the face of adversity. Second came a love of all people. He loved Andrea deeply, loved his family fiercely, and loved others generously.

Casey was very involved in each of his wards. He served as an instructor (in the Elder's Quorum, Stake Institute, and Gospel Doctrine classes), Elder's Quorum President, Executive Secretary, Second Counselor in the Bishopric, and Ministering Brother. The way Casey served others and taught the gospel blessed countless people. He always said that his favorite thing to do was to love and care for Andrea, and that his second favorite thing to do was to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

He enjoyed blessing others with thoughtful gifts and generous gestures. One way he did this was through giving large tips at restaurants. He loved going out to eat and giving the wait staff an extremely generous tip, and sharing this experience with others when he could. He looked forward to going to the Church’s "Light the World" Giving Machines every year. Casey and Andrea even had a line item in their monthly household budget set aside specifically for helping others.

Casey was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers: Robert McConnell and Clinton Stephens. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Stephens; his parents, Corbett and Claudia Stephens; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Sharon Snelson; his siblings, Chirstin (David) Olson, Clark Stephens, Camille Stephens, Jeremy (Claire) Snelson, Greg (Breauna) Snelson, and Kimberly (Jonathan) Lawton; his nieces and nephew, Sophia, Courtney, Lily, Allie, Morgan, Miley, Levi, Brooklyn, and Olivia; and many other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Grandview 1st Ward building (1555 N 1350 W, Provo, Utah). The family will receive friends at the Berg Mortuary (185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah), on Tuesday, November 4 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Wednesday from 10:00am to 10:45am, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Provo City Cemetery. Funeral Services will also be streamed on Zoom.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation at a “Light the World” Giving Machine or that you find another way to light the world with the Savior’s love this holiday season in Casey’s memory.

Condolences may be extended at www.bergmortuary.com. We encourage friends and family to share memories and upload photos to Casey’s memorial page to celebrate his life and the love he shared.
