Colten John Hildebrand

–

Provo, Utah

Our beloved Colten passed away on February 10th at the age of 29. Colten is survived by his parents, Mark and Dorothy Hildebrand; siblings, Jordan and Candice Hayward, John and Kimberly Bingham, Cory Hildebrand, and Colin and Taelor Hildebrand; 8 nephews and nieces, and many extended family members and friends.

Born in Fallbrook, California, Colten came into this world larger than life at 10 lbs. 3.5 oz., 2 weeks overdue. He was constantly curious and very smart. During his youth you’d often find him off exploring on his own, feeding his curiosity with the world around him. This curiosity and drive helped him earn his Eagle Scout award. Helped by his naturally large frame and out of this world strength he just loved being active whether long boarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. He was adventurous, daring, and fearless. Everything he did he was all-in and he became accomplished in his pursuits from health and fitness to MMA, to board games, and even video games. He was the ultimate competitor.

He was a dearly loved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.

Those that knew Colten knew him most perhaps because of his kindhearted nature, his affectionate ways, and his bear hugs. To know him was to love him.

He was very loved by his coworkers at Costco and Provo Rehab Center where he had served as a CNA. He was true to himself and wouldn’t talk bad about anybody else. Though Colten has battled with Bi-polar disease for many years he has finally found his peace.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the LDS Chapel at 650 Stadium Avenue, Provo, UT 84604. Friends are welcome to visit and share stories with family from 10:15-10:50 a.m. prior to services. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
