Doris (Kitty) Kaye Zamora Obituary (1946

Doris "Kitty" Kaye Zamora passed away peacefully in her home in Lehi, UT, surrounded by family on March 16th, 2025 at the age of 78. Kitty was born October 1st, 1946 in Murray, UT to Wilma and Alvin Ross. She married Joe Zamora on December 9th, 1968, and had 3 boys, Billy, Joey, and Chad. She had many jobs over the years. She was a hairstylist out of high school. She worked as a cashier at a department store, a seamstress at a sewing factory, a secretary, and worked with electronic circuit boards in the years before retirement. She was also a wonderful homemaker. Kitty enjoyed crafting everything. Pottery, macramé, painting, crochet, sewing, making gnomes, and elaborate hand-made cards. She enjoyed creating things for others, and seeing them smile. She loved all children and made them feel special with a cry out of their name, a big smile and warm hug for each of them. Kitty will be missed by those that knew her for her caring, loving, and kind nature. Kitty was preceded in death by her youngest son Billy Zamora, her husband Joe Zamora, eldest son Chad Zamora, younger sister Nona Ross, younger brother Elvin Ross, and parents Alvin and Wilma Ross. Kitty is survived by her sisters Carolyn Ross and LuAnn Torres of Idaho and Gay Lynn Ames of Utah, Sister-In-Law Korin (Paul Hoehn) Ross of Utah, stepdaughter Lisa (Rick) Davilabracero of Washington, daughter in law Lianne Zamora of Utah, and son Joey (Sandi) Zamora of Texas. 6 Grandchildren: Kyra (Thomas) Seabury, Aidan Zamora, Megan Zamora, and Connor Zamora of Utah, and Aaron Zamora and Alyssa Zamora of Texas. 2 Great Grandchildren: Laney Zamora and Theodore Seabury of Utah. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Lehi 4th Ward Chapel, 851 North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah 84043. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside services will follow at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, UT 84606.
