Fern Louise Anderson Cartwright Obituary (1941

Our mother, wife, sister, grandma, adopted grandma (by all who came around), aunt, and dear friend, Fern Louise Anderson Cartwright, age 81, took dad’s hand and he escorted her to their heavenly home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, surrounded by family on both sides of the veil. Born to Edward L. Anderson and Blanche Lenoue on July 13, 1941, in Seattle, Washington. Later she was adopted by Bonnie Jean Forbush. She lived in Seattle with her grandma Purvis until she was about six, then her father took her to American Fork, Utah where she grew up. She met the love of her life, Ronald M Cartwright in September 1957, on a blind date. They were married on March 1, 1958, then sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 14, 1964. They were blessed with 7 children and raised their family in Provo. She was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and magnified many callings; Young Women Camp Director, Primary Presidency, Librarian, served a mission in the Cannery, and many more. She was on a basketball team and was quite athletic in her high school years. We always had a luscious garden and fresh food throughout the season. Then the harvest came, canning and prepping for the winter. You could smell her bread and cinnamon rolls before you even came in the house. She loved camping and being in the mountains. She loved to sew and make quilts. The dresses she made for us were so beautiful. It was always a treasure to watch and learn to sew. She was a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Carbon Company, Sunflower Camp. Her greatest passion was her family. She loved everyone unconditionally. Always seeing those for who they could become. Her heart was full of love for all. An immaculate Christlike example of living and a true pilar of strength. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M Cartwright; her parents, Blanche Lenoue, Edward L. Anderson and Bonnie Jean Forbush. Grandsons, Micheal Marquez, Ryan Cartwright, and Hayden Hoerner. Survived by her seven children, Ronald L. Cartwright (Luan), Bonnie L. Marquez (Marshall), John R. Cartwright (Myrna), Cindy K. Vouk (Joe), Randy N. Cartwright (Megan), Roddy Cartwright (Gina), and Wendy Laypath (Jeff). 61 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great Paislee Marie on her way next week, and 3 more coming in 2023. Also, many nieces and nephews. Siblings, Yvonne Lovell, John Anderson, Marcia Young, Lynda Quintana, and Penny Nielson. We have an extremely deep gratitude in our hearts. We are very thankful for our Aspen Ridge Hospice care team. The professionalism, kind, and loving way they supported and educated us. It made this the peaceful, beautiful transition it is meant to be. They truly care about the patient and the caregivers. We also want to thank all of our friends and family for all the love and support. We are sure our parents are dancing with joy looking over their great posterity. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at her ward building (Sunset 5th Ward), 1402 South 570 West, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Tuesday, December 27, from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wednesday, from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
