Herbert 'Herb' Grant Hoover Obituary (1929

Herbert ‘Herb’ Grant Hoover, Age 88, passed away on September 28th at his home. Herb was born April 25, 1929 in Provo to William Ralph and Velma Wright Hoover. On August 15th 1950, He married Marian Frances Mullet in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised three children: Brad (Jana), Korry (Shauna) and Lynne Ann Peterson. He was a prominent business man in Provo; He owned and operated Mullett-Hoover Jewelry and Trophies from 1950 until his retirement in October 2016. He dedicated his life to his business and the customers he served. He enjoyed bowling, square dancing, boating, traveling and spending time manicuring his beautiful yard. He was a master craftsman at woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, three children, eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Robertson of Moab. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Ralph Hoover, Melvin Hoover, Vera Oakey, and Norma Westfall. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call from 9:30-10:50 a.m. prior to services.
