Idonna Thomas Morley

Idonna Thomas Morley passed away at age 89 on September 16, 2024 in Provo, Utah. She was born November 3, 1934 to Edward Thomas and Annie Jolley Thomas in Provo, Utah. She attended Maeser Elementary, Farrer Junior High and graduated from Provo High School in 1952.

She married Ferris R. Morley in 1954 in Provo, Utah. They later divorced. Together they had 4 children: Barbara A. Morley (Lynn), David S. Morley (Janie), Michael F. Morley (Maryann) and Diane Morley Weaver (Richard). She has resided in Provo her entire life.

She worked for Granite Furniture Company in Provo for 30 years where she excelled in the finance department. She met and retained lifelong friends there.

She was a very strong-willed, independent, hardworking, loving mother and grandmother. Her skills in the kitchen and yardwork are unmatched. She loved being outside, in the sunshine tending to her lawn, flowers and shrubs. She loved having family gatherings, and would cook many types of food. It was like being at Chuck-A-Rama with all the choices you had.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son Mike, and granddaughter, Stephanie. She is survived by her daughters Barbara and Diane, son Dave, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah with a luncheon following at the Bonneville 13th Ward, 1498 E. 800 S., Provo, Utah. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
