Jane Ann Trosper of Provo, Utah passed away peacefully October 29, 2026.
Jane Ann was born on June 20, 1951, to Mary Jane Weaver Trosper and Kevin John Trosper in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended John Carroll Grade School and Bishop McGuinness High School before attending St. Gregory's Junior College. She earned a degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 1973.
Her early career was dedicated to education and service. She taught first grade to migrant children in Raymondville, Texas, and spent several years working with special-needs children. In 1979, Jane Ann joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, remaining faithful throughout her life. She served in many capacities, including nine years in the Primary, as well as serving as a Sunday School secretary, Relief Society secretary, Cub Scout Leader and librarian. Outside of work and service, she was an avid music fan, attending seven Elvis concerts, six Neil Diamond concerts, and four Barry Manilow concerts.
Professionally, she began working with Price Club in Arizona, which later became Costco. In 1999, she relocated to Orem, Utah, to help open the new location, eventually retiring in 2013 after 34 years of dedicated service.
Everywhere she lived, Jane Ann built strong, lasting friendships. She stayed in close touch with her high school friends—Leslie, Joan, Sharon, Deb, and Barbara—and enjoyed reminiscing with them during a reunion in September 2026. She built lifelong circles of friends in Arizona, Susan, Charlotte, Syd and Susan-and life-long friend Diane Ferguson. As well as Orem, and her most recent neighborhood in Provo of six years, where she was dearly loved. Jane Ann was also a passionate advocate for animals; any dog she rescued truly won the lottery.
Jane Ann was preceded in death by her parents, many aunts and uncles, and her beloved cockapoo, Quincy. She is survived by:
