Jerry Lewis Housekeeper, 57, ended his short but fierce battle with cancer on September 11, 2020 at his home in Provo, surrounded by loved ones.
Jerry was born January 30, 1963 in Provo, Utah to Hal Lewis and Lena (Hollerman) Housekeeper. He grew up in a tight-knit neighborhood in Orem, attending schools there and graduated in the first graduating class of Mountain View High School in 1981. He married Shelly Christensen (divorced) and had two children that were the joy of his life.
He worked most of his life in the construction trade and was an expert at operating heavy equipment, which he did for the past seven years at Rio Tinto, Kennecott. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman. When he wasn’t working, he was either hunting, fishing or riding his Harley with family and friends. He appreciated the beauties of nature, could spot wildlife when others couldn’t and loved the wind in his face. He was always up for an adventure.
Jerry served others in quiet ways and absolutely adored his grandkids. He enjoyed his pets and had iguanas, piranhas, birds and beloved dogs. He was a Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed bowling, boating, waterskiing, pretty much anything outdoors and he was good at all of it. He had good times with lots of friends who will miss his company and kindness almost as much as his family will.
Jerry leaves behind his cherished children: son, Skyler (Kailee) Housekeeper and daughter, Kaylee (Travis) Trevino; his most precious granddaughters: Miley, Cienna, Kynlee and Addison; step-dad, Ron Hansen; sister, Kathy (Bob) Worthen; brother, Dennis (Charee) Housekeeper; step-brothers: Marty, Terry (Maria) and Kelly (Denise) Hansen; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, half-sister, Gayle Housekeeper and step-brother, Brent Hansen.
