Our dear brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Joseph Adams Knight, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at the age of 94.

Joseph is preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, eight siblings, and a great-granddaughter. He is survived by his two children and their spouses, six grandchildren and their spouses, 20 great-grandchildren, and a brother. He loved, served, and was an example to all. He married his high school sweetheart, Pauline Brown, October 18, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple.

In addition to his devotion to family, Joseph joined the Navy, serving as a Medic with the Marines during the Korean War (1948-1952). Returning to Provo, he took the GED, received his BS and Masters degrees from BYU and MD from the U of U.

He worked as a pathologist in multiple hospitals in Utah, California, and Texas. In the latter years of his career, he served on the faculty at the U of U Medical School, where he enjoyed doing research and publishing the results.

Joseph served in various church callings, including serving as Scout Master and in the Bishopric. His favorite calling was teaching the High Priests.

Joseph will always be remembered for his boundless enthusiasm. Whether he was hiking through Zion, encouraging his grandkids in their various pursuits, or simply enjoying an ice cream bar, this heartfelt "joie de vivre" was a delight to those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Aspen Ridge Residences of Lehi and Hospice for the loving care they provided for our father/grandfather/great-grandfather.
