Laura Lee Jackson Normington

–

Provo, Utah

Laura Lee Jackson Normington, embarked on her final adventure on August 25, 2026. Born on June 20, 1960, in Torrance, California, Laura’s life was a testament to the spirit of resilience and courage. She was an adventurous soul, whose laughter echoed through the mountains, forests, and streams where she often ventured. Laura spent her years in various places, including Provo, LaSal, Long Beach, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach, before finally making her home in Springville, Utah.

Laura turned her passion for the outdoors into a successful career in landscaping. She had a knack for making things grow and reveled in the beauty of nature. Her love for gardening didn't stop at her work; she was also known for her green thumb at home. In addition to being a green thumb, Laura was an enthusiastic hiker, camper, and fisher who found joy in cooking her catch over an open fire. Her spirit of adventure and love for life were infectious and inspired everyone who knew her. Laura was also a dedicated volunteer and a keen family genealogist, tracing her roots with a sense of wonder and enthusiasm. She embodied the saying, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."

Laura is survived by her son Alex Normington (Susan), daughter Kristin Elizabeth, mother Joan Jackson, sisters Elizabeth McKibbin and Sue Clark, five grandchildren, many nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Edmond Jackson II, half-brother Edmond Jackson III, and half-sister Diana Mourton. Her family and friends cherish the memories of her humor, vitality and the love she had for her friends and pets.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, Utah, 84663.
