Lee L Petroff was born March 17, 1939, in Provo, UT to Mike Petroff and Cecilia Kinnear Petroff in the home built by his dad on Geneva Road.
Lee passed away July 3rd, 2026, peacefully at his home in Provo, only a short distance from the home where he was born, surrounded by love both here on earth and family in heaven. Lee was the youngest of 10 children, 6 brothers and 3 sisters, all who preceded him in death. Lee was blessed with four children and proud to call them his own; Joni, Bill, Felicia (deceased) and Kenny. Lee had numerous 4-legged children in his life, including Sariah, who brought joy and love to him in his retirement years until her death in March 2020.
Lee met his wife, Donna, while working at Utah Valley State College (UVU) in 1994. 32 years as best friends, 22 years as husband and wife. They shared many travel experiences in their years together including a trip to Australia in 2005 and 10 years ago a trip of a lifetime to Alaska, where Lee lived for a time in his younger years. Many weekends were spent fishing and camping in the mountains of Utah, particularly Scofield and Gooseberry reservoir with family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at Fort Utah Park, 200 N Geneva Rd, Provo, UT 84601. An Informal gathering will begin at 4pm.
Lee,
My heart is broken and will be for the remainder of my time on earth. My life was better because you were by my side, I'll love and treasure you forever my love. As milestones of your death occur and as I navigate being without you on this earth, I am comforted in the fact that you are now my ‘Angel' Husband watching over me from afar. Love you so much Lee, our love is real. I miss you and I can't wait until we are together again. Take care of Sariah until we can all be together again.
Love Always, Donna
