Madge Davies

I was born of goodly parents, Edgar Rollo Moody and Emma Floy Sorensen, on July 3, 1921 in Aurora, Utah and rejoined them on August 22, 2010, in Provo, Utah. I was the oldest of eight children-Paul, Howard, Doreen, Floy, Marilyn, Brian and Bruce. I graduated from Milford High School and Brigham Young University where I met my eternal companion, Victor L. Davies. After being coaxed into sewing a button on his shirt, we spent 66 wonderful years together raising our three children, Stephen (Leslie), Gayle Neuenschwander (Paul) and Matthew (Debra) who graced us with eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to my wonderful family, I helped raise innumerable children I had the great pleasure of teaching over 30 years in the Alpine School District. I will miss you all till we meet again. I bid you adieu and let this fond farewell be a tribute to all of you who enriched my life and contributed to my well-being and happiness. I love you all. Thanks for the memories.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Grandview 14th Ward Chapel, 1122 Grand Ave., Provo. Friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.BergMortuary.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund, the Alpine School District Foundation or your local school in the form of supplies or volunteering.
