MaryAnn Wyler Brereton Obituary (1940

Our beautiful mother and grandmother, MaryAnn passed peacefully on Friday November 5th, 2021, in her home. Mom was born in Payson, Utah on February 6th, 1940, to Bert and Edith Wyler. Mom grew up in Payson and Spanish Fork where she graduated from Spanish Fork High School. Mom had an amazing kind heart, volunteering at the hospital and women’s shelter. Mom loved to travel and see the sights. She always said she wanted to live right in the middle of downtown New York and be a part of the hustle and bustle of everything. Mom was a businesswoman and very proud to be the owner of Herold’s Lounge, later known as City Limits. Mom looked forward to visiting with her regular patrons and was very giving, loving and kind to everyone she met. Mom had one of the best senses of humor and was always ready with a quick comeback for anything. Mom loved to read, shoot her gun, collect rocks, work crossword puzzles, and all her beautiful flowers on her favorite patio along with many other things. Mom married Burke Jensen July 7th, 1957, and later divorced. She married Norman Brereton January 21st, 1971, and divorced after 27 years. Mom is survived by her children; Shanna (Gary) Taylor, Tracy (Tracy) Biolos, Christian (Stacey) Jensen, Toni (Craig) Wiseman and Jeremy (Jennie) Brereton. Brother Gerald (Lynnette) Wyler, Stepchildren; Steven Brereton (deceased), Kent Brereton (deceased), LeAnn Swanson, and Kathleen Brereton (deceased), 19 grandchildren, and 50 ½ great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jane Curtis and grandsons Rusty and Ryan Barrett. The family would also like to thank Christian and Stacey Jensen for their tender, loving care of our mother in her final days. A celebration of mom’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah.
