While sleeping peacefully, Max Leone Adams passed away on October 13, 2015, just as he had always hoped. Though we are saddened to see him go, we take comfort in knowing that he is with his beloved son Kelly.
Max was born on December 3, 1939 in Provo, Utah to Harold Adams and Olive Reynolds Adams. He grew up in Orem, Utah with his 5 siblings whom he loved dearly: Don Adams (Anne), Dean Adams (Donna), Alan Adams (Jane), Dianne Christiansen (Clark), and Leon Adams (deceased).
Max served an LDS mission right out of high school in the Southern Region. Upon his return he immediately started college. It was shortly thereafter that he met his sweetheart Judy Smith Adams. In their 50 years of marriage they were wonderful companions to one another, never spending much time apart. Together they raised their family of 3 children.
Max was not afraid of hard work and showed it by spending 35 years working as a welder for Geneva Steel before retiring in his early 50’s. Max lived full life and enjoyed the outdoors tremendously. In his early years he spent as much time as he could camping, fishing and hunting. As he grew older, you would still find him outside in his favorite chair reading a good book.
Though Max was not a man of many words, he was so proud of his 3 children, Kelly Adams (deceased), Kami Adams Palmer (Jeff), and Kyle Adams as well as his 4 grandchildren, Karson, Kyler, Kennedi and Amber.
Max wanted to share his appreciation for the love and friendships he has developed over the years.
His family wishes to express our gratitude with the overwhelming outpour of support and love we have received over the last few days!
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Orem City Cemetery, 1500 North 800 East, Orem, Utah. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
