Michael M. Gleave -beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend-passed away on September 9, 2026, at The Mervyn Sharp Bennion Veterans Home in Payson, Utah.

Michael lived a life marked by courage, service, devotion to family, and unwavering patriotism and faith.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities in Church callings, but truly loved the time that he served as a Stake missionary with his wife Rosemarie.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who honorably served his country during the Vietnam War and for 13 additional years, including service overseas in Berlin and Bremerhaven, Germany. While serving in Vietnam, Michael demonstrated extraordinary bravery under combat conditions and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with a V device for heroic achievement in combat, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm (the National Armed Forces Level- highest level) and two Purple Hearts for wounds sustained while defending the soldiers he served with. His military service reflected the strength of character, leadership, and selflessness that would define the rest of his life.

Michael was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in the generations that followed him. He is survived by his sons Michael T. Jense (Waree Jense) of Utah, Todd E. Gleave of Utah, Scott E. Jense of Utah, & his daughters Nicole M. Petersen (Kevin D. Petersen) of Washington, and Jum Speters (Martin Speters) of Utah.

He leaves behind a cherished legacy through his 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife Rosemarie Betty Dawn Gleave (2025), his parents Winfred Frank Gleave (1977) & Madge May Rasmussen Gleave (1999), his sisters Beverly Logan (2006) and Wanda Reese (1998), his brothers Edward S. Gleave (1946), Douglas W. Gleave (1999), Baby Boy Gleave (1933), Gary W. Gleave (1938), Lynn Gleave (2023), Lonnie D. Gleave (2023), Barry W. Gleave (2005), Norman F. Gleave (2017), and his daughter JaNae Jense (1991)

Those who knew Michael will remember his steadfast dedication to his family, his love of country, his faith in Jesus Christ, his willingness to serve others, and his love of sports, especially the Denver Broncos! He exemplified courage during wartime and compassion throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his family and in the countless lives he touched.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the many memories shared, the lessons he taught, and the example he set through a life well lived. His service, sacrifice, and Love will not be forgotten.
