Reid Bartholomew

Reid Allan Bartholomew, 73, passed away on March 15, 2026 at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. He was born August 28, 1952 to Calvin and June Barton Bartholomew in Milford, Utah, the seventh of eight children.

Reid grew up in Provo, Utah. While in elementary school he learned so quickly that he was offered a double promotion. In high school he had two trips to Germany as the top German student from Utah.

Reid served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines from 1971 to 1973.

He played the piano and guitar. He also enjoyed telling riddles, writing poetry, and painting.

He was known for having a generous heart, a jovial nature, and making many friends.

Reid is survived by six of his seven siblings — Dan (Sherlene), Jean (Richard-deceased) Larsen, Joann (Roy) Tanner, Robert (Rita), Ralph (Linda), and Carol (Terry) Routt. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Calvin (Karen).
