Robert Brimhall

Robert E Brimhall was born in Provo, Utah on October 15,1941. He passed away peacefully with his loving wife and three daughters by his side. Growing up Robert was always a hard worker with an unbelievable strength of will. These traits remained and defined him throughout his life. He served over 20 years in the Army National Guard and retired as an E7. His honesty and integrity were paramount to his character. Everyone that knew him understood that his word was as iron clad as any contract.

He married Darlene Allen and they later divorced. Together, they adopted a son, Eric. In 1977, he met and married Christine Ashbridge and inherited three daughters, Cheryl, Wendy and Brandi, that he called his own. The two were together up to the very last tender moment of his life.

With the support of his wife, Christine, he opened what would become his life’s dream of being a business owner. Brimhall Automotive and Marine opened in 1979, flourished, and in 2005, after nearly 26 years in business, Robert made the decision to retire. He has enjoyed learning the stock market, tinkering and building old cars, and his college and pro football.

Robert was a dedicated, loving spouse, nurturing father, caring brother, and Big Papa, Grandpa Great to many grandchildren. No matter the time or day if you needed help, he would be there. He had an absolutely, amazing, mechanical brain completing work on a beautiful one of a kind ’26 T-Bucket Ford. He was able to tear down and build anything with movable parts. The world has lost an amazing, great man and if you knew and loved him, you would know he would want everyone to celebrate his life. Tell the stories. Make all the jokes. Play the songs. Continue. Love hard and make him proud. Just remember, “If it is worth doing, do it right!”

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Basel and Ruth Brimhall, his three siblings Arden Brimhall, Barbara Redfern, and Richard Brimhall.

Robert is survived by his sweetheart of 49 years, Christine Brimhall (Chrissy). His four children: Cheryl (Rodger) Taylor, Wendy (Russell) Long, Brandi (Justin) Miller and Eric Brimhall. He was a proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah, 84606. The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Saturday, November 7, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, prior to the service. Interment will follow at a later date.
