Sarah Deneice Jones

Sarah Deneice (Dee) Jones passed away peacefully at her home in Provo on Monday, September 1, 2014. She was born October 3, 1914, in Columbus, Ohio. Dee was preceded in death by her husband George A. Jones and her grandson Michael D. Rohr. She is survived by her son Norman E. Rohr, stepdaughters Anna K. Jones Pugh, Karren Jones Fortney; 7 grandchildren: Cindy Rohr Gurdogan, Scott Rohr, Tracy Pugh Backus, Kelly Pugh Siebert, Mark Fortney, Kaylee Fortney, Matthew Fortney; 10 great-grandchildren: Elif Gurdogan, Kayla Murray, Collin Murray, Justin Backus, Adam Siebert, Allison Siebert, Jessica VanAsdale, Jonathan Fortney, Andrew Fortney, Coraline Fortney; and 2 great-great-grandchildren: Jonathon Rohr and Donna Rohr. A “Celebration of Dee’s Life” will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4, which was the day planned for her 100th Birthday Party, at Orem Community Church, Fellowship Hall, 130 N 400 E, Orem, Utah 84097. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of Dee’s favorite charities: Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Salvation Army, Wounded Warrior Project.
