Shandy Mae Olsen Contreras Obituary (1991

Shandy Mae (Olsen) Contreras passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Shandy was born July 7, 1991 in Payson, Utah. She was a beautiful mom who loved her children more than anything. She loved listening to and creating music. She spent her summers in Santa Cruz, California and was at home on the beach and in the water. She loved the outdoors and camping as well as spending time with her family. Known by her sisters as Bubbie the Whale, Shandy had a wonderful sense of humor and a playful, infectious spirit. She loved people and made friends easily wherever she went. Shandy faced many challenges in life with strength, resiliency and a fighting spirit. Everyone who knew Shandy was touched by her kindness and generous heart. She will be greatly missed by all and will live on in our hearts forever. She attended Common Threads Montessori in Santa Cruz, Mapleton Elementary, Springville Junior High, Springville High School and Landmark High School. The daughter of David and Jessica Levicki and Justin Harley Nazzise, Shandy is survived by her husband Roberto; daughter Jazlynn Destiny; son Liam Robert; grandparents Sharavana Millavise, Cat Johnson, Robert and Kathy Olsen; Roberto’s family, including mother Sylva; siblings Cige, Landen, Alexis, Alexandra, Arien, Ashton, Nicki, Maria, her beloved cat Meow Meow and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved and were loved by Shandy. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Porter R. Leavitt, grandmother Margaret N. Leavitt and Robert H. Duke (Grandpa Bob). Join us for a celebration of Shandy's life at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday, June 15, from 6-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:50 a.m. prior to services.
