Sherrell Evans Hansen Obituary (1938

Sherrell Dawn Evans Hansen died on May 23, 2010 in Orem, Utah. She was born March 12, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho to Alexander and Ione Evans. She was raised on their dairy farm in Arimo, Idaho and often commented on how much she enjoyed the farm. Sherrell graduated from Idaho State University in 1960 and pursued a career in medical technology. She married Leo R. Hansen in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City on October 28, 1960 and they had two children. They were married nearly 50 years when she died. From November 2004-April 2006 she and her husband served a Mission for the LDS Church. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Leo; her children, L. Scott Hansen and Beth Ann Hansen; her daughter-in-law, Linda Hansen; her grandchildren, Jordan Hansen and Morgan Hansen; her sisters, Deena (Dallas) Dendy, Marilyn (DuWayne) Henderson and Carol (George) McOmber. She loved hard work and was extremely diligent in everything she did. She had a generous spirit and gave freely of her means to those around her. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, learning, and chocolate. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Parkway 2nd Ward Chapel, 2740 West 620 North, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Arimo City Cemetery, Arimo, Idaho. Condolences may be sent from www.bergmortuary.com.
