Suliana Leete Halasima Obituary (1987

Suliana Leete Halasima went to her final resting place on July 31, 2024. She was welcomed into the gates of heaven by her mother Cathey Halasima, sister, Mele Halasima, nephew Tevita Halasima and other family members that have gone on before us. Sana is survived by her four beautiful kids Manaia Vaha Patrick Soi, Mele Finau Misileti Soi, Matalasi Leete Ponaivao Soi, Mea’alofa Ana Soi, her ex-husband and lifelong friend Brian Soi; Her Father Timote Halasima, Sr. and her four brothers Fakatoko To’a, Issac Halasima, Timote Halasima, Jr., and Viliami Halasima. ***Her nieces and nephews that she loved very much Mele Lauaki, Dominic Hiatt, Mele Halasima, Meliah Halasima, Viliami Halasima Jr., Timote Halasima III, Keleni To’a, Hevani Tuell, Saane Halasima, Tavai Halasima, Aho’loka Halasima, Grey Tuell, Titali Halasima, Taimani To’a, Cathey Leete Halasima, Nick Halasima and many beloved family and friends. Growing up in Provo, UT, Sana made many lifelong friendships with people who became more like family. She was an independent tomboy who loved to play sports and rough around with all the boys. Even as she grew up and became the beautiful woman we all know, she was still a tomboy at heart who couldn’t be told what to do. She marched to her own drum and was never afraid of a challenge. Among her many passions, Sana loved music and soccer. She was always blasting music and dancing along, whether by herself or with her kids. She was a standout goalie in high school and continued to play as an adult in soccer leagues throughout Utah Valley. She loved to attend RSL games and share her knowledge with her kids and nieces. Her greatest passion was her kids; it brought her the greatest joy to make them happy. She loved all her nieces and nephews and considered all of them as her own. At gatherings, you could always find her playing and laughing with the kids. We miss her so much. We will be celebrating the life of our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Her services will be held at the Sunset 12th Tongan Ward located at 1090 West 1020 South, Provo, UT 84601. Family Service will be from 9am to 11:15am. Bishop Service will be from noon to 1pm.
