Troy James Blackburn

Troy James Blackburn passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at his home in Orem, Utah. He was born May 16, 1988, to (Steven) Troy Blackburn, and Glenna May (Roberts) Blackburn. He is survived by his parents and his brother Tylor Scott Blackburn.

Troy, or as his family called him, "T.J.", grew up loving hunting, fishing, and sports. He was especially close to his grandpa Glen Allen Roberts with whom he spent most of his youth years crafting his passion for Golf. In high school, Troy went to the state tournament the day of his grandfather's passing, placing 5th.

In his adult years, Troy continued his passion for golf, often competing and placing in amateur tournaments across the state. He was also an avid supporter of the Utah Jazz where along with his brother Tylor was a proud season ticket member.

When he wasn't playing golf or rooting on the Jazz you could find Troy hanging with his friends, where he grew a family-like connection with Justin and Cortney Allen, and Wade Hone among others.

Troy was the most competitive person you would ever meet. His love for competition was only eclipsed by his love for his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
