Violet Inez Caswell Griffith Obituary (1947

Violet Inez Caswell Griffith, age 68, took the opportunity Monday morning, June 13, 2016, to sneak away from her family in her sleep to be with her Heavenly Father. She was much loved and we will miss her, but we know she is in a better place. She is survived by her husband, David Griffith of Provo, two sons, Ian Griffith (McKall) of La Verkin, Utah, and Johnathan Griffith of Provo, one daughter, Sarah Johnson (Bryan) of Provo, six grandchildren, one brother, Charles Caswell (Barbara) of Orange Park, Florida, one sister, Martha Palmer of Clarksville, Indiana, and one niece, Deborah Moss (Fred) of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Caswell and Viola Caswell (DeVore), three brothers and four sisters. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had been active in many callings over the years. She was a member of the United States Air Force and served proudly, meeting her husband while he was also serving. They were married after a very short association, and have been together for 42 years. She worked most of her life as an LPN in various hospitals until she was forced to retire for health reasons. We will miss her greatly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Grandview East Stake Center, 1081 West 1060 North, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Sunday, June 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
