Wanda Luene Manwill Johnson Obituary (1927

Heaven gained one beautiful soul. Wanda Luene Manwill Johnson passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones September 4, 2021, in Provo, Utah. Wanda was born June 15, 1927, to Elden and Eva Manwill in Sigurd, Utah and was one of seven children. Most of her childhood was spent in Aberdeen, Idaho until her family moved to Provo, Utah. That is where she met the love of her life, Edward Dale Johnson (Ted). They married on June 8, 1949, and settled down in Lakeview, Utah. Wanda spent a lot of her life helping others regardless of the situation. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she served in a number of callings. Her greatest calling in life and the one she excelled the most at was being the top-of-the-line Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. She had a true heart of gold. Outside of family, Wanda enjoyed spending time around her house maintaining her perfect garden. Everyone who knows her, knows that her yard was home to some of the prettiest rose bushes and plants. Although she wasn’t the rowdiest fan, you’d often find her in her rocking chair rooting for the BYU Football and Basketball teams in addition to the Utah Jazz. Go Cougs! For 73 years, Wanda was a true “Lake View Pioneer Woman” through and through. Wanda will be greatly missed by her dog COCO, cat He-She, as well as all the countless people and lives she touched. Wanda is survived by her children: Dale (LuGene) Johnson, Troy (Alicia) Johnson, and Judy (Mark) Tolley; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, parents, and siblings: G Lee, Norman, Lowell, Bert, Merrill, Juanita, and Arlene. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Lakeview Stake Center, 450 West 1800 South, Orem, Utah. Friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
